What are the funds from the Annual Campaign used for?
Funds are used to cover expenses in the following areas so that tuition can be kept as low as possible for all families who want to send their children to Catholic High.

  • Enhance salaries/benefits to attract and retain quality faculty
  • Educational materials that help us offer quality courses and the technology /software solutions to support them
  • Tuition assistance, offered to those who qualify, to make our school accessible to all those who wish to attend
  • Capital projects – maintenance of our existing assets as well as enhancements to facilities, technology, etc.

What were some of the educational materials and capital projects purchased with last year’s funds?

  • Air handling systems across campus updated to purify air
  • Additional technology investments to make simultaneous on-campus and eLearning teaching possible and effective
  • Individual desk shields for teachers, students and administrative areas
  • Thermometers for daily monitoring of faculty and student health conditions
  • Faculty and staff training on COVID-19 precautions as well as technology solutions adopted to facilitate eLearning
  • Acquisition of two new vehicles to be used to transport students to extracurricular activities

What is the difference between the Annual Campaign and the Building on Faith, Family & Tradition Capital Campaign that is also underway?
As detailed in the previous questions/answers, the Annual Campaign is used to provide funds for one-time, variable expenses and projects that need to be done during the school year, helping us to keep tuition as affordable as possible.

Capital Campaigns are conducted following the development of a detailed Master Growth Plan by our School Advisory Committee on a periodic basis.  In recent history, Catholic High has had two such campaigns.

  • 1999 – New construction of the media center, enhancements and renovations to the Administration building, Science Wing, the 500-classroom wing, and building of the new Visitor’s Stadium at Gorecki-LeBeau Stadium
  • 2018, Building on Faith, Family & Tradition – New construction of the Student Life Center, Student Fitness Center, renovation of current cafeteria to STEAM lab, renovation of weight room to Music/Band Building, additions of 3 new classrooms, and 5 new administrative offices.
