Hallow’s Lent 40 Day Prayer Challenge
In 2025, Hallow’s Pray40 challenge focuses their them on The Way, based on a powerful verse John 14:6 “I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life.” You can also download the Ascension app now. Ascension offers the word of God and the complete teachings of the Catholic Church. There are answers and commentary by Fr. Mike Schmitz, Jeff Cavins, and other experts. Video, audio, and textual commentary. Right on your phone.
Last year, Hallow shared He Leadeth Me, a spiritual book by Father Walter Ciszek about Ciszek’s faith and resilience while imprisoned in the Soviet Union during World War II. It serves as a guide to living the Christian life and it encourages readers to deepen their faith and trust in God. It also explores the themes of surrender, faith and trust in God’s providence. It shows how to turn adverse circumstances into a source of positive value.
In 2023, the Imitation of Christ inspired Pray40.
Daily readings from the 15th century book, written by monk Thomas a Kempis, were center to the Lenten prayer challenge. The book, which influenced the lives of countless saints over the centuries, is equally powerful today.

Lenten Prayer
Almighty and ever living God, you invite us deeper into your world, your people, your Lent. May this time be one of outward focus; seeking you in those we often ignore. Help us live a Lent focused on freedom, generosity, and encounter. Give us hearts hungry to serve you and those who need what we have to give.
