In a dominant performance, the Crusaders secured a decisive 23-0 victory, starting with a thrilling pick-six by Nigel Nelson right at the beginning of the game. The Crusaders successfully converted the PAT, taking an early 7-0 lead. Later in the first half, CJ Nettles showcased his speed with a spectacular 70-yard touchdown run, extending their lead.
In the second half, the Crusaders added to their score with a safety resulting from an intentional grounding in the end zone, bringing the score to 16-0. Nigel Nelson capped off the scoring with another touchdown, solidifying the win at 23-0.
Defensively, Kaleb Johnson was a standout, racking up 11 tackles, including 4 for loss, while Zion Heard contributed with an interception. On offense, Geno Cunningham led the receiving corps with 2 receptions for 29 yards, highlighting a balanced team effort in both defense and offense. The Crusaders are now 3-1 this season following the win.
