Financial aid is available to CHS parents from two sources. CHS offers its own need-based financial assistance that can be applied to tuition and/or MacBook fees. Additionally, the State of Florida funds different types of scholarships as part of the School Choice Program. CHS accepts these state-funded scholarships for those who qualify for them according to the State’s eligibility criteria. Apply using the links below.

  • Step Up For Students is a state-funded scholarship program that offers an average of $7700 per year per student towards a private K-12 education. Recent changes to eligibility have made these scholarships available to any resident of the state of Florida.
  • The FES-UA Scholarship is a state-funded scholarship for students with an identified learning disability.
  • The AAA Scholarship Foundation is another state-funded program that awards full or partial scholarships based on income.

Applying for CHS Financial Assistance

Families interested in applying for financial assistance should complete the following steps by March 1, 2024 (Families registering after March 1, 2024, must make application within one week of registering in order to be considered for the 2024-25 academic year):

  • Complete the FACTS Grant & Aid Application, which can be accessed through the FACTS website.
  • Make payment of the $38 application fee directly to your FACTS account, by credit card or e-check online.
  • Upload to FACTS by March 1, 2024, a copy of your IRS Federal Form 1040 U.S. Individual Income Tax Return for 2022 or 2023, with all supporting schedules, and your 2023 W-2 Wage and Tax Statements. Copies of supporting documentation for household Social Security Income, Welfare, Child Support, Food Stamps, Workers’ Compensation, and Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) must also be submitted. Applications and determination of financial need can not be verified until all required documentation is submitted.

Families must submit all Financial Aid forms by March 1, 2024 or within one week of registering their student at CHS. Qualified applications received after the deadline are not guaranteed a full award amount. For questions regarding completion of application or submission of documents, please call the FACTS Parent Line at (866) 441-4637, staffed 24 hours a day. Only one FACTS Grant & Aid Application per family is required. Having a grant for the 2023-2024 school year does NOT qualify a family for assistance for the 2024-2025 academic year. All questions regarding the financial aid program should be directed to the Finance Office, (850) 436-6400, ext. 116.
