SCHOOL
Pensacola Catholic High School is a Catholic, co-educational secondary school owned and operated by the Diocese of Pensacola-Tallahassee. Established in 1941 in downtown Pensacola, Catholic High has been at its present location since 1958. Catholic High is a member of the National Catholic Educational Association, the National Association of Secondary School Principals, and the Florida High School Activities Association. All students are admitted on a non-discriminatory basis. Catholic High School received the U.S. Department of Education's Blue Ribbon School Award as a Recognized School of Excellence in October of 1993.
Enrollment: 560 students in grades nine through twelve.
Accreditation: Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.
FACULTY
31 full time, 8 part-time; 41% with Master's Degree or above. Student teacher ratio is 14:1.

Pensacola Catholic High School uses a four-level educational program. Each of the four levels indicates an ability group with the following characteristics.

GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS
l/2 unit of credit is issued for each semester course passed. One credit is awarded in a year course for which the final average is a passing grade. 26 academic credits are required for graduation, with credit distribution as follows:

CLASS RANK
Students are numerically ranked in relation to all classmates on the basis of weighted GPA's. A weighted GPA is calculated according to the Escambia County School System formula: for each semester an honors course is taken and passed, a factor of 0.025 is added to the unweighted GPA.
